Our Church

On April 19, 2006 an accidental fire destroyed the landmark building of St. Martin's Episcopal Church.
Built in 1838, the building had served as a community church, Methodist Church, and community center along with the adjacent Palmyra Grange Hall.
The Episcopal Diocese of Maine began the current congregation in the 1960's, and our loyal members
have continued the traditions of service and community involvement ever since.
In May of 2008, we have begun the rebuilding process, and welcome all visitors to our temporary worship and service center, the Parish Hall;
and we invite you to join us in "growing" our new church and community base!

Our Mission:

We intend to gather to worship and give thanks to God, in the best way we are able. We intend to support one another in joy and sorrow, and in crises and sickness. We intend to help our children to grow in the knowledge and love of God. Finally, it is our intent to reach out to those around us who are in need, and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in the wider community.
